Call to Artist: High School Students


The John D. MacArthur Campus Library is seeking submissions from high school art students for future exhibitions. We are offering a unique opportunity for high school students to have their artwork shown along with professional artists in a gallery setting on a university campus.

We are interested in showing a wide variety and styles of work. The work can be painting, sculpture, mixed media, film, animation, etc. There are no size limits or restrictions on theme. The submitted work will be reviewed by the gallery committee. Submitting your work does not guarantee it will be shown. Inappropriate materials will be rejected.

If you do not have enough work, you may submit as a group.

To take advantage of this opportunity, students may submit their work as follows:

1. Enclose photos or jpegs on a cd with at least 6-12 works. All work that is being submitted for exhibition must be represented in the photos/jpegs.
2. Include an image index with title, medium, size and year to correspond with the images on cd. If sending photos, put the information on the back of photo.
3. Include artist information with name, contact numbers, school attending and year of study.

This is an open call and there are no deadlines. We will review submissions as they are received. Exhibits may run from one – three months depending on availability. No monetary compensation or prizes will be offered.
