Coming soon

Our upcoming exhibition featuring the work of Giannina Coppiano Dwin will be an exciting exhibit. Ms. Dwin will take 2 weeks to construct her work on site. Students, faculty and the public may stop by and watch the artist at work. Each piece takes hours and is delicately constructed using loose spices, sugar, flour, etc.

The exhibition will open Jan 14, 2008 and run through March 17, 2008. At the end of the show, the artist will de-construct the work, enforcing the conceptual elements and symbolism of the work.

Current Exhibit

Nancy Nieves
"Beyond Abstraction"
Oct 16 - Dec 21/2007
Our current exhibit is up and showing through December 21, 2007. This is a great show with interactive work that is sure to amuse the viewer. Ms. Nieves' playful approach to her works on paper make this a very lively exhibit. Her pesonal thoughts on daily life and society give the viewer something to think about.
Nieves, a former Florida Atlantic Univeristy professor, is now teaching at Gaston College in North Carolina. Her experience is vast and body of work is impressive. This is a slight detour from her usually paintings. Her trade mark is inserting round pencil drawings into her vast paintings. This work on paper still offers those little jewles throughout. Her work has a feel of Miro, Dali and a slight latin flair which is very appealing for the viewer.
Be sure to stop by. The gallery is open during regular library hours.
